There were silly little characters that I thought were so fun to find, and I didnt feel so different sitting with my brothers when I had books that I could read on my own. And my mom probably read this book to me thousands of times. To this day I am a voracious reader but spend more time in cooking and gardening books. I still love animals and the delicate dance between all living things created by God. Black Beauty, Grimms Fairy Tales, Secret Garden, The Bobbsey Twins, Charlottes Web, and Nancy Drew Mysteries, are a few. I am so drawn to it.
