I can't quite put my finger on it, but, I swear I detect a hintI mean HINT, of black cherry. So don't overdo the drying. Floral on the retrohale. For me, seems to gurgle a bit. To be fair, the flavoring isn't in your face and eventually dissipates for the most part which allows me to enjoy the flavor of the tobacco itself at certain points of smoking this. There's a hint of fruit, like cherry liqueur, and just a hint of fire, with woody, rotting leaves in the background. Less tonka and a more subtle blend in the topping, the tobacco is a little less potent and it's a little less sweet. When ready to load my third bowl, I had an epiphany (soft of like gas but not the same) - maybe the guys I read about that open tobacco and let it dry know something I don't.

If you're into strong, dark flakes -- especially of the Lakeland variety -- try it; if you're not, approach with caution. There is something of the nature of the ever-controversial 1792 lurking in the physical aspect of Bracken, but the similarities end there. We have been in the business for many years and our care and adherence to tradition guarantees the perfect snuff . It is powerful, in every meaning of the word - strong in nicotine and flavour. I loved the flavor of this flake and it would have been a keeper but it made me ill, strong flake to be sure, but I'm not sure if it was the nicotine or the flavoring additives. I is very full bodied and strong, yet it does not give any tongue bite at all, and does not produce a lot of smoke. Aroma: Black cherry, cough syrup, lemon curd, bitter collard greens. Strong yes, but nothing disturbing here. 4 Finest Kendal Twist Pipe Tobacco 50g (Tin) 22.99. Flavoring is attractive: not as sweet and tonquin dominated as 1792, but more "fresh" and "cool". After a few sniffs i could smell the dark virginia's coming through pretty nicely. If I had to guess I would say the base tobaccos are the same, but the topping is very different. Summary:. I wish the flakes came unbroken, because the larger pieces, folded like whole flake, smoke better than the smaller pieces. Good quality Virginias, Packs and burns well, this tobacco realy does make you smoke it slowly, an excellent disciplinarian, it basically comes down to whether or not you like the taste of the essence used, unfortunately for me, I do not. And I definitely preferred folding to breaking it up. Very good Virginia smokes smooth, rubs out into a nice fluffy pile, the smell from the jar is amazing. You still get some of that spiciness underneath that 1792 offers, particularly near the bottom of the bowl. Opening the tin revealed very dark flakes of varying thickness.The aroma is musty,not very plesant to my senses.the flakes required some drying for optimal burn.Slightly rubbed out and with a loose pack the tobacco took to the match quite well.On first light there was a faint flavor of dried apricots and a very lite lakeland scent.The tobacco crowned up quite high and required a lite tamp for the second light.With the second light there were no flavors or aroma noticed. I saw the new tin and had to try it; I'm glad I did. The flavoring is not overdone, nor is it the same as in other Gawith blends. The nicotine hit is very intense. Doing so may be difficult, though, if you like that nicotine wallop.
